I believe my uncle, Dick, served on the Bugara until his death in May of 1965. He was killed in an auto accident in San Diego on May 23rd. I am researching his military history.

I knew Richard. The last time I saw him was when he drove me to the airport as I was going on leave. I was shocked to learn of his death upon my return. I considered him a good friend;I remember that he had a small spot on his face that did not tan. He said it developed after he joined the navy and joked that he may be allergic to the navy.
I'm sorry for your loss.
